Our Vision

We envision becoming a loving, vibrant, studious community of disciples that will engage our neighbors with the life-changing power of Jesus. We envision being intentional about cultivating transformational relationships and providing opportunities to exercise our spiritual giftedness.

▸ By the year 2012 The Gathering will have 225 members, 30 small groups and be staffed with one full-time planter, one full-time associate minister plus two part-time support staff.
▸ By the year 2014 The Gathering will have 500 members, 70 small groups, be fully self-supported, have birthed a new church and leading a network for church planting in Arizona.

Our Strategy

The heart of our mission will occur in relational communities we call "Small Gatherings" (S.G.) that take place in homes. People we meet through our planned community events will be invited to our small gatherings so they may discover God's solutions to the challenges in life.

Those who attend our Sunday celebration worship service will enjoy the comfortable atmosphere and dynamic worship that will convey the good news of Jesus' love and sacrifice for mankind.

Leadership development will take place in the context of our small and public groups. Continued training will be employed to expand ongoing leadership to effectively facilitate the growth of the church.

The Gathering will have the look and feel of a Book of Acts church.
